Finding Referrals
Word of mouth continues to be the number 1 source of reviewing a business. Word of mouth no longer needs to come from someone you personally know. It can come from websites such as FaceBook or Yelp. Even Google reviews provides a great feel for a business. Specifically for us, we wanted to a good daycare provider in Moreno Valley Ca. 92551.
My new job required us to move to the Moreno Valley area, We were a bit nervous because we did not know anyone here. It was like starting fresh. New job. New location. New people. It can be exciting and scary at the same time. Prior to making the big move, we did a lot of research on the best area to live in Moreno Valley. Once we found that out, we looked into the housing in that area. We wanted something that wasn’t too far from my new job. After we found a house, the next thing was to find a quality daycare provider in 92551 (Moreno valley).
Since we did a not of research prior to moving, we already had a handful in mind. We wanted to go with something small, like a family daycare provider, rather than a child care center. We figured that child care centers has more kids and a small family daycare would offer more individual attention to our 2 sons. When we look at Yelp, we found this business that looked a lot like we were looking for. We also looked into Facebook and google before we reached out and called them for more info.
Make The Call And Visit
After we got our list together, we made calls to our 3 top picks. We wrote done our major questions we had.
- What are you hours?
- How much do you charge per child?
- What is you license number?
- Do you have a food program?
- What are your policies?
- Do you offer a learning program?
Of course, if you have more specific questions, you can ask, but those were our main questions. From the phone call alone, we got a good grasp on who we liked the most. Even though our questions, we a little on the vague side, one of the providers were detailed enough to answer our question, and more.
Make the visit. After we found out the hours, we made a visit. Not a scheduled visit. It was more of a surprised visit. We wanted to get a honest fill from the family daycare. If we schedule a visit, I fill like they would have been more prepared for our visit.. which can be a good thing , or bad.
Make A Decision
Making a decision will probably be a tough one. Before making our actual decision, we did another quick google search “best daycare near me”. The daycare provider we chose was the right choice for you kids. The location was a little further from our jobs, but not by much. We hope this helps your process in choosing a daycare provider near you.
